I bought a mini Rider Waite Smith tarot deck, when I attended a tarot class a couple months ago. The teacher required us to get the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck deck because it has been used as a teaching base in many books and classes, or so they said. First, I was like ugh! I wasn’t like being forced to get a particular tarot deck, especially the one I couldn’t relate to.
Until one day, I drew a Sun card from my The Everyday Witch Tarot deck which represented by three dancing women, which carries a resemblance with the Three of Cups. Since I didn’t really get the message, I tried to compare it with the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck, which portrays a baby instead. It clicked right away, as I was on my way to meet my baby niece.
I have since understood the benefit of the classic Rider Waite Smith tarot deck, especially at the times when I need a further clarification of my cards.
